What you'll see
Visitors and page views
How many people came to your site, and how many pages they looked at. Pick a week, a fortnight, a month or three months.
Phone and WhatsApp taps
Every time someone tapped your phone number or opened WhatsApp from your site — and which page they were on when they did it.
How they found you
Google, Facebook, Checkatrade, or straight to your address. So you can see what's actually bringing the work in.
Phone, tablet or computer
What people were using when they got in touch. On most trade sites it's overwhelmingly phones, and that matters.
Why not just use Google Analytics?
You could. Plenty of people do, and it's free. But it's built for marketing departments, not for someone running a trade business between jobs. You have to learn what a session is, what a bounce rate means, and dig through half a dozen menus before you find a number you care about.
This does one thing instead. It tells you how many people came to your site and how many of them got in touch. One page, no training, no jargon, and it works on your phone in the van.
Google Search Console is a different job again — that's about how you show up in Google's results. This is about what people do once they're on your website. The two sit alongside each other.
Being straight with you
This is deliberately basic at the moment, and we'd rather tell you that than dress it up. It counts visits and it counts taps on your phone number and WhatsApp links. A tap means someone started to get in touch — it can't tell you whether the call connected or the message was actually sent.
We're building on it over time. Everything you see today stays free with your My Local Trades subscription, and anything we add turns up in the same place.
